Cities and forests or rural places have a different level of noise. In comparison to, say, a small village, a megapolis would feel like an overwhelming sound pollution that'd get to you if you lived in one for most of your life without visiting a city, you'd feel assaulted by noise and smells for a good while and it might take time to get used to it, some never trully adjust to it.
